When a frantic letter from her newly-wed cousin begging for help Noemi Taboada heads to a distant house in the Mexican countryside. Her cousin's husband is both menacing and alluring, and the ancient patriarch seems to be fascinated by Noemi. The house begins to invade Noemi's dreams with visions of blood and doom. Her only ally is the family's youngest son. He seems to want to help Noemi, but could be hiding dark secrets of his family's past. As Noemi digs deeper she unearths stories of violence and madness.
