What an interesting, original book! I enjoyed every page, I have to say. First of all, I liked that idea that the story was also about Mary Seymour, the lost daughter of Queen Katherine Parr and Thomas Seymour. I say "lost" because very little is known about her and it is generally believed that she died very young. In this book, the author attempts to give us Mary's story, a story full of fantasy. Time travel, loss, love, friendship, arrogance and cruelty are all elements here and - although the end was not what I was hoping for - they make a great story. Mary herself is described as a very spirited young girl, who has to survive in a man's world, while her friend is in a way more adventurous - but enough, I don't want to spoil the story for you, just go ahead and read this beautiful book.
