Food52 a New Way to Dinner

a Playbook of Recipes and Strategies for the Week Ahead

I could not find much useful in this book, unless you want someone to tell you - again - how to roast a chicken or a pork butt. The idea behind the planning of a week's meals for your weekly shopping is good but, honestly, how common is 'ramps' as a vegetable? Most of the meal planning and recipes are poorly executed in the book, and I feel like anyone with a budget probably does better for their family than they'd manage by following the book ideas. Also, this book assumes that you have nothing better to do on the weekend than cook - sure, you're busy during the week - but, weekends, you'd be willing to spend hours and hours in the kitchen preparing food for your next week of family meals? I don't know about you but... no.
