I have been a fan of Danielle Steel for many decades. Her books are almost always easy reads, fairly interesting & a good story. This one is a little different than a lot of hers, in that, it was supposed to be more of a mystery thriller. It was an "ok" story (although a bit predictable & safe) ---- some of the characters were good. I would have to agree with a previous comment, that this wasn't one of her best books -- although a good quick "escape".

This is one of Steel's better books. A TSA agent at JFK airport spots a suspicious postcard which her gut tells her means something. She reports it to her superiors and soon a search is instigated. Within the time it takes to fly from New York to San Francisco TSA and Homeland Security figure out who a suspect is and what he/she is up to. Will the plane with 111 people on board come down? Or will they be safe? Read the story to find out. Characters are well sketched and plot well woven.

Reading a Danielle Steel novel is usually a nice, palate-cleansing break from my usual fare of psychological thrillers. So I was excited to see a new book by her, and one that purported to be a suspenseful thrill ride to boot!

Unfortunately, the holes in logic in the plot ruined my enjoyment of the story. The reader is supposed to believe that a mere discarded postcard found in the bottom of a search bin started an investigation that included the FBI. And that, despite there being over a hundred people on the plane, the investigators on the ground managed to quickly narrow the search for the culprit down to one individual? Really????

I found also that the characters, despite having interesting backstories, somehow seemed flat and two dimensional.
This was not one of Ms. Steel's better efforts.

I have been reading this author for many years, many decades actually - since the late 70's to early 80's. Her earlier books really moved me, moved to tears in many instances. However, lately, I haven't felt that same thrill from her books.
This book was different!!!! From the very beginning, it was a book I couldn't stand to put down! I am a computer "junkie" and I even gave that up to finish this book.
There was great character development, so much so that it was hard to comprehend how it would all end.
Read the book, I don't think you will be disappointed.
