Three generations of one family---a young child, a mother, and a grandmother---set off on a summer day to pick wild yarrow for tea (recipe included in book). Beautiful full-page acrylic illustrations accompany simple and repetitive text written in English by author/illustrator Caitlin Dale Nicholson and translated in to Cree by Leona Morin-Neilson (both from British Columbia), which sets a gentle and comforting pace for the reader. This multigenerational story touches on the importance of family connection and honouring family traditions and would make a perfect gift from a family member to a young child.
