Solving the Mystery of Migrating SheepeBook - 2002
It is God's will that every believer be healthy and productive in this life so as to glorify Him and advance His kingdom. Yet it appears that many of God's precious children wander aim- lessly from ministry to ministry never finding the peace and prosperity that God has for them. Scripture gives us the picture of sheep happily following a shepherd into green pastures and finding security, provision and reproduction. This portrait refers to our relationship with the "chief shepherd," the Lord Jesus Christ, and with our earthly "undershepherds" whom we call pastors. How do we answer for all the unsettled Recycled Believers believers who move, periodically, from flock to flock neither getting established nor blooming where they are planted but yet claim they were "led of the Lord?" What about believers who have been faithfully involved in a ministry and are suddenly uprooted by the Lord and transferred to another ministry under new leadership? Does God train us under one ministry and transfer us to another one for service? In this book, we will answer these questions from the life of King David, whose leadership prefigures the Lord Jesus and the New Testament Church. We will see that God has a plan for each one of us that meets our needs and in turn enables us to serve His purposes.
