Nassau Bahamas, New Providence IslandVideo Cassette - 2009
Travel with us as we visit Nassau, the capital of the Bahamas, on New Providence Island, for this edition of Dive Travel. In 1670 British settlers came to New Providence Island and built Fort Charlestown, but in 1684 it was burned to the ground by the Spanish. It was later re-built and renamed Nassau in 1695 to honor King William III (formerly Prince of Orange-Nassau).
