This is a character- as much as plot-driven book, but the characters are extremely well crafted, with a depth that makes them read really real.

Similarly, Nason was able to elicit a depth of emotion that had me feeling all different things, often at the same time, and sometimes even in conflict with each other - the sign of a talented writer indeed.

Finally, I appreciated the way Nason handled Bliss's mental illness (depression). Again, this facet of the story felt real, with Nason treating it as an illness in the way that it often affects people and their loved ones, rather than some sensationalized version that is found all to often in books.

I will read other books by this author.
