This is a great series with a disappointing ending. I will try not to spoil it, but there is of course a loss in the book before, that I feel was not needed. It created so much emotional tension between the characters, and it just seems like they won't ever be able to move on. The rest of the books left me feeling energized while this one just made me feel sad and empty, just like the character. But the plot is a good follow through, and I think it leaves good room for a sequel series! I think fans of the series will love this book, but be aware that you may be slightly disappointed.

Read this from 9:45 this morning finished at 2:47 am the next day I feel sad and happy and am having a lot of other feelings going through my mind as I come to terms with the end of the series. A great read that took me on a journey from junior high to university.

This is a good book for kids over 12. There are lots of inappropriate words for kids. This book could affect child's thought about his birth which could result a hard time in family. I don't prefer this book unless you are over 12 but this is a great action book about alien invasion.

The final book of the Lorien Legacies series, United as One is BY FAR the best book in the entire series. The build up for this book was long coming, and the plot was action packed the entire time. The events in the book are based around the invasion has beginning, and it's up the the Garde and their allies to defend Earth and Humanity. They've prepared and dedicated their entire lives to this moment, and the time has finally come to step up. But it's not just the Garde fighting the Mogadorians alone, they'll have friends and allies they've gained across the series. The allies and friends really shine bright in this book, getting their chance to have their strengths, personalities and character traits highlighted, which I think is awesome! The author spared no expense going in depth on the detail of the supporting characters. I also loved how realistically the Garde's relationships with each other changed given the loss and failure they've had over time. It creates tension and stress between the characters, intensifying their situation keeping you glued to the book from start to finish. The ending was albeit very sudden, but the plot twists they throw at you make it one you'd never predict. I'm so sad to have finished the series, because I loved it so much watching the characters grow up and seeing how powerful they've become. Overall, an amazing series! @ShepReads of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library

In United As One, the story of the Lorien teens is finally brought to a final and perhaps fitting end. Pittacus Lore does a fine job in exposing the humanity of John Smith even as his protracted battle with Setrakus Arab begins to finally wind down. We are finally shown John at his lowest without most of his characteristic ideals making an appearance. Fresh off his loss and grieving, he is finally prepared to do whatever it takes to win the war. The human Garde also add a fresh injection of life to the tale even as their battle-worn Loric counterparts are forced to compare themselves. 4 out of 5 stars.

The ending was abrupt. I wasn't actually aware this was the last book in the series until I read it.

I guess I mostly enjoyed the series, but I just wish that other problems were actually resolved and not left hanging in the air.

Although it will be interesting to see what Frey does with the Generation One series.

At the ONE YEAR LATER part, I'm blinking to stop the river of tears threatening to come. It's been so long since I read this series! I've forgotten how much I've missed this series!!

Someone give me a box of tissues for this river of tears that I can't seem to stop.

With the years that go in between these books, sometimes I forget just how much I love these characters, this story, this world that I get transported into. I lost myself in these pages. I felt like I was right there alongside them, fighting off the enemy Mogs to save humanity and my friends.
I love love love this final chapter in the series. I thought the writing was good, the dual perspectives between John and Six were great, and the storyline was well thought-out.
I don't know how much I can convey the greatest of this book besides the fact that it sits in my mind under Greatest Teen Reads, right next to Percy Jackson, Harry Potter, Mortal Instruments, and many others.

It starts out with John dealing with Sarah's death, the human Garde popping up and needing rescue, and with hurried plans being set into motion around the globe as nations prepare to counterattack the enemy. With new Legacies making themselves known, John trying to learn each valuable one he can, and everyone getting ready for the final smackdown, this book will keep you on your toes to the very last page.
Loved it.
