Good book! Like the Will Trent series.
My first time reading this writer. I liked it! I've gone back and started with TripTych which I understand to be the first of the Will Trent books. I recommend to anyone looking for a good crime novel.
This was not one of Slaughter's better books. It moved too slowly.
Crime procedural drama involving murder, drugs, prostitution ring and rouge cops. Part of a series involving characters revealing emotional scars, loyalty issues, and vices with a little romance thrown in. Started off OK but story became tedious. Below par but good prose.
Not one of her best ...rambling on...
Had difficulty finishing. Way too much repetitive descriptions of events. Not one of her better books....boring.
Would not recommend.
Wow! One of my favourites
A top-notch addition to the Will Trent series, I enjoyed every minute of reading this novel, including the discovery of some big secrets -- both Angie's and Amanda's.
Returned 10/12/16 via 4th Ave book drop.
The Grant County series is always one of my top picks. I love Sara Linton and Will Trent! In The Kept Woman, Angie Trent, Will's estranged wife, plays a lead role. The character of Angie reminded me of the wonderful Lena Adams from earlier books in series. Slaughter creates such powerful, haunted, and self-destructive women that constantly amaze the reader. It's impossible to look away. I already can't wait for the next installment of the Grant County Series.
