All of Nashville is on edge with a serial killer on the loose. A madman is trying to create his own end-of-days apocalypse and the cops trying to catch him are almost as damaged as the killer. Field of graves reveals the origins of some of J.T. Ellison's most famous creations: the haunted Lieutenant Taylor Jackson; her blunt, exceptional best friend, medical examiner Dr. Samantha Owens; and troubled FBI profiler Dr. John Baldwin.

If you're reading the series in order, you need to read this 1st. It's the 1st book she wrote, but you don't know that till the authors notes at the end. Tho I wish she had released it as the prequel or mentioned at the beginning why we're back in time. Even if you don't read it 1st, it's good to know how Taylor began. Good story..keeps you reading.

Really enjoy this authors books. The challenges that the main character finds herself dealing with in her job and personal life. This book is set in Nashville where she is a member of the police department. Her relationship with co-workers, friends and her boyfriend seem to complicate the job. They all work hard and play harder to catch the criminal and find the solution to the crime/

Would someone please tell those cops to quite throwing butts all over the place.
A thriller in every sense of the word. She even throws in a tornado to make it more interesting.
It demonstrates that chasing madmen on a daily basis is not a nine to five job. Weary but wary they trudge on.
