Very strange movie. Title makes no sense. The point of it isnt clear which is sad because the Holocust was a huge atrocities.

I'd have liked this movie a great deal more had the protagonist not kept revealing himself as a complete turd, but perhaps it's too much to expect much of toll collector. This anonymous young man performs one or two nice deeds even as he becomes obsessed with the Holocaust. He then identifies with that event and attempts to subsume himself into the identity of a Holocaust Jew, tattoo, clothes etc., berating people driving foreign-made cars. He even believes he's better than non-Jews. SPOILER: We're left with an image of him staggering onto the highway, shoeless and camp-garbed. Some may feel for him. I felt the ending to be contrived and manipulative.

This film was such a waste of my time. Very misleading cover.

The picture on the cover suggested a huge find in the para- psychological-thriller department. What I got was a great little study of a lad who wanted to feel the suffering of those who survived the Holocaust. His ability in getting into the minds of those who were scarred by these atrocities is unforgettable. Yes, it is worth watching, but it only gets 4 stars from me.
