He again, as often his books, touches the theme about good and evil. He wonders: why people are capable of heinous crimes? This book is about loneliness, search for meaning, trust between parents and sons... There is a statement in the book about Julian's Wells books: They cannot be categorized. Crime and history, nonfiction and true crime, little nuggets of everything: history, science, philosophy, a vast number of quotations" - this is exactly about this book of Thomas Cook.
But somehow is kind of slow and sometimes boring, despite of supposedly interesting and exciting topic of trying to find answers to some mysteries.
